So, Xander takes his drum and takes the lid off and decides to put it on his head. He thought it was so funny. He walked around like that for a good 10 minutes. Oh, that kid! He even gives kisses through the drum.
We spent the last week without electricity. We had a generator though. We dressed Xander in warm clothes and blocked off a part of the house so that we could have some heat. Xander had a blast! He slept on the floor in the living room and kept Grampa company. Looking back, it was fun, even though it was a bit inconvenient.
This will be short, cause I just can't handle it right now. Xander is going to miss out on such a wonderful Gramma. I will do all that I can to make sure that Xander knows how much his Granny loved him. We will all miss her so much.
Well, considering all we have been through. Xander did have a good Christmas. He had such a good time ripping paper and playing with all of his new toys. I don't know who had more fun with his new toys, Xander or Grampa. Santa was especially good to Xander. He didn't even leave out cookies for Santa (woops!) Don't worry Santa we'll give you double next year.
Xander's First Birthday was a blast. Xander was a little careful with the cake at first, but then he finally dug in! He ate til he was almost sick. I can't believe my baby is a year old! Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday I was pregnant.
Now what will Xander want for Christmas? He already has his two front teeth! I read an article today about what changes when you have a baby. Well, it said you are amazed about how much you can say about one tooth! That is so true. I am so excited about everything he does. This is just another of the many things that make me so happy to be a mommy. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Xander was obviously a shark for Halloween. Unfortunately because of his teeth (no pun intended) he did not get to go trick or treating. There's always next year. He was so cute though. It took Bobby and I forever to decide on a costume. We picked the perfect one I think.
